Oman’s foreign direct investment (FDI) stock rose by 8.7% year-on-year to RO32.2 billion by the end of Q1 2026, reflecting growing investor confidence in the country’s economy. New investment inflows reached RO2.5 billion during the quarter, according to data from the National Centre for Statistics and Information. The growth comes amid continued economic reforms aligned with Oman Vision 2040, which seeks to diversify the economy and expand high-value sectors. The Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion has played a central role through its Invest in Oman platform, which facilitated eight quality investment projects worth RO460.74 million during H1 2026. Since its launch in 2023, the platform has supported 45 investment projects with a combined value of RO4 billion, including 37 new projects and support for seven existing projects.
